Irrespective of who you are, there comes a point in time in life when everyone must leave the earth. So basically everyone needs to pass on. Some people do it sooner than others do and some people tend to live longer lives. Ultimately, everyone must say goodbye to this world. Ultimately though everyone still has a funeral ceremony to say goodbye to the family member that has passed on. It is simply a matter of paying your respects. So whether the body is going into the ground or being cremated, is irrelevant.

Ceremonies are carried out differently depending on the culture and tradition. However, irrespective of the religion every deceased person requires a casket. If you would like to go out and get an extravagant casket from your side, then you should do it.

Ultimately, you should not splurge on the state. It is a day to say goodbye and respect your deceased loved one. It's not a day that you should be showing off your money, however if you want to do something from your side in respect and gratitude for your deceased loved one, by all means you should go ahead and do it.
